In an effort to always remain thoughtful of our planet earth, we are always in search of local sustainable companies.
ChicoBag believes in helping humanity bag the single-use habit. The founder, Andy Keller, was inspired by the growing epidemic of single-use plastic bags found blanketing the landscape, trees, and gutters. They advocate for waste reduction by designing the highest quality, longest lasting reusable bags.
As a part of the B Corp community, ChicoBag now shares their long-lasting ethics and sustainability practices with the world. This year they were named “Best For The World Overall” and have been a leader in the movement to not compete with other companies for the best in the world, but be the best for the world.
So far, ChicoBag has helped more than 1.8 million people reduce their single-bag consumption and have stopped over 779 million plastic bags from polluting our waste-streams. If these bags were tied to each other end-to-end, they would all circle the Earth six times!
Committed to not only making the planet cleaner, ChicoBag also commits to making their own business cleaner as well. All ChicoBag employees strive to leave the planet better than they found it. From reducing their own paper waste to giving back to their own communities, they pay it forward every day. By refusing the big 4 – single-use plastic bags, single-use water bottles, single-use cups, and polystyrene take-out – they will never let a mistake to go waste, as they are always looking to improve, learn, and be the change they wish to see in the world.
Good for business. Good for people. Good for the planet.
